Living in a really small town do not give you enough choices in radio stations.  Then I routed myself on the Internet in search of online radio stations.  Among the many choices out there, there is just one where my friends and I really got excited about.  Music Videos

IMRadio became our favorite.  We always have it playing in the background when we are hanging out, doing homework, or getting ready to go out.  The variety of music and sheer talent really make us stop and say, “That song is really awesome!” 

You can will find a broad selection of stations.  It is so great, it has 450 stations the last time I checked it.  almost the same asYouTube for Music where music artists can upload their song files, just like anyone can upload their videos on YouTube. 

Living in a small town used to mean that we were behind the times as far as new music.  We can now listen to newest bands, freshest songs from artists all over the United States through IMRadio.  The feeling of being bumpkins who never get to hear the hottest music in the country is now history.  Air Play

Since my friends and I are fond of rock music, we are happier about IMRadio since most of the songs there are considered rock.  What’s so cool is that, without IMRadio, we might never have the opportunity to hear a lot of these artists.  What is so ironic about this is that compared to those songs you hear on traditional radio and Top 40 charts, these songs really sound better.  So much better! 

A few bands have really stood out to us, to the point where we are positive they are destined for fame.  What we really like the most is the web site’s feature where fans can communicate with their favorite bands.  Well, we do not have any intention of forming long-term friendships or stalk the bands or anything.  But just letting them know that we are out there and admiring the songs they are singing gives us that good feeling. 

When you go to IMRadio’s home page and scroll down a bit, you will see a “Featured Bands” header with images that look like little CD covers.  I always love to click on a random image and listen to a song by that artist.  If I do not find the song appealing to me, I just move on until I find a song that suits my taste.  It is somewhat similar to tuning the seek button on your radio to hear what is playing on the other channel then decide where to tune in, only this one is jittier than the other.  Online Radio

I have dreamed of hearing my tunes on the radio since I was a little kid, pretending to play my toy guitar along with videos on MTV.  But it can be pretty difficult to get air time, even if you’re a really good band.  Music Videos

The band that I formed five years ago has been lucky enough to be played on some local stations.  You may call that luck but it may not also be the right term to call it.  We did work real hard to meet the right people who got us on air.  You can call that real challenge. 

Since radio stations do not put unknowns to their rotation most of the time, new bands now face an uphill climb.  The bands that you hear on the radio are not necessarily the most talented.  Most of the time, they are ones with the most financial back-up and marketing efforts. 

It is good to hear that the Internet now intervenes in changing the industry by giving new bands simple breaks and chances to be heard.  This web site says that it is by musicians, for musicians, and it really is.  Some of our song files are now receiving free radio airplay in more than 100 countries when I registered an account and uploaded them into IMRadio’s rotation.  Air Play

As a music lover, I appreciate new artists’ talent and hear their new songs.  Aside from that, poets and comedians are heard on IMRadio.  I have suggested IMRadio to a few of the acts that I often see around town at the clubs, and it is exciting to see them beginning to build a following, thanks to IMRadio, as well. 

Now, I am more excited because my band is being heard and has a growing fan base.  Another good thing about IMRadio is that it has a message forum that serves as a communication venue for bands with their fans as well for bands communicating with other bands.

Singularity through radio songs is significant to people like me belonging to the young generation. The Internet is a good stage for us to display our talents, shout out our beliefs and misusings, as well as express who we are. It does not take one to be an Internet savvy to use the website so you would not encounter any difficulty in navigating the website. Moreover, the playlist is composed of various genres, although rock songs are more common than others. You will just be surprised of being carried away by the awesome melodies and compositions of the songs. Even if some songs are not written in English, you will still keep on listening to IMRadio because you will be treated to various sounds, types of music, and fresh songs. Additonal reason why we hold on IMRadio as our favorite from all online radios is that the fans can easily communicate with the bands. A short profile of each singer or band serves a the channel where they can chat with their local or foreign fans whenever they want to. Although there are some musicians that are not fond of communicating with their fans, some are easy to get along and communicate with.

When it comes to censorship, IMRadio is not suppressed. In other words, you will be able to listen to raw songs. If you are into metallic rock, you can hear bands scream, curse, and blast their instruments just the way you like it. The theme or message of the songs in IMRadio is varied so you can surely find several songs that you can relate to.
