Concerning The Rebirth of Affiliate Marketing

Some concern has been battered around the web lately about the banning by Google of Affiliate Marketers using Adwords.

Although there are legitimate and well established companies, they also use affiliate programs and have remained strong. The are literally thousands of them; to list a few includes Turbo Tax, Norton Anti-virus, Zappos Shoes, Weight Watchers, Pet prescriptions and pet product, lawn and garden companies, Rosetta Stone language learning and Travelocity to name a few. They are reputable companies that offer terrific products and service.

One of the ways you can add value to your site as an affiliate is to post “product reviews and testimonials.” Use real testimonials of some well- established customers. You should also use a product or service first before you promote it, so that your ad remains authentic. Use feedback from others who have used the product, including family and friends. You are able to report the true experience some one has had with the product and can stand behind what you are professing.

Another plus is to create a “super niche or an angle” surrounding your product. For example, it already established that people looking at a Weight Watchers ad are looking because they want to lose weight. Finding away to fine tune the angle or create the niche is the draw that will hook them in. One of the reasons you are looking to lose weight is because you are going a high school reunion or other important upcoming event, or you are going on a vacation. There is no shortage of niches you can create, from the newly divorced looking for a date to the ones who just want to be healthy.

The days of easy profits from affiliate offers are long gone. The only security in this business is to hone your craft and get really, really good at copywriting, buying traffic, negotiation/joint venturing, and any other direct marketing skill. When all is said and done, remember that Affiliate Marketing is selling to a consumer without the face-to-face aspect of sales.

Having A Solid Article Marketing Strategy Can Grow Your Internet Revenue Fast

Article Marketing Strategy

Free article marketing is a form of online business promotion that relies on the development and submission of informative content related to the style of the small business, product/service or activity domain. Free article marketing is not specific to web activities only. Online businesses that target the local market use it extensively. As a result, business owners distribute materials for publications to local newspapers. The advertising as such is indirect, but the topic tackled with in the material touches on the activity of the business in question.

This advertising and marketing pattern of free article marketing has been taken over by web investors who have seen it as an opportunity to increase business exposure with minimum costs. Online free article marketing is different from the paper-printed variant by search engine optimization and keyword density.

Thus, the topic of a certain material is given by a particular keyword, and all articles meant for online distribution are written according to this pattern. Here we have the reason why keyword research sets the course for content writing.

Free article marketing is applied by plenty of companies both small and large. The submission of the materials is made on specialized article directories from where other publishers take over content and distribute it together with the links to your website. Through this type of free article marketing, the visitors on a certain web page can access links and navigate to your website based on their interest in content, products or services. Backlinks are the treasure of free article marketing and the basis of your virtual real estate empire.

Besides the keywords used to write the articles, incorporated links play an necessary role for free article marketing too. While with some article directories, your content can contain up to three anchor text links, with others, URLs are only permitted in the authors bio box. Know the rules of article directories before submitting your articles. Failure to comply with the rules brings about the rejection of content, and your work will be in vain.

Make sure not to duplicate content. Do not submit the same articles that you have uploaded on your website or posted on blogs and social networks. There are softwares that check for duplicate content, which doesn’t allow you to use the same materials twice. At least you could re-write the original in very many variations and then distribute them to multiple article directories.

Releasing the SEO Strength of Wordpress

If you’ve struggled with driving traffic and want an effective way to make it work, you need to look into Wordpress SEO. Wordpress has quickly became one of the most popular blogging platforms available. The reason for this? Well, it’s mostly due to its ease of use in addition to the tons of benefits it packs such as search engine optimization. However, you have to be fully aware of the dynamics that go into optimizing your Wordpress blog before you can see any results. All you need to be able to do is manage your Wordpress settings, then you’re golden. The following article will cover the techniques you need to master in order to achieve the desired amount of traffic.

Critical to be set up exactly correct with specific keywords, your post title is the most essential function in your SEO interaction with your Wordpress blog. Such keywords must be involved in the comments of your post, and not just used in the titles. In order to ensure that search engines will index and rank the pages of your website accordingly, it’s important to only use each post title once within your site, and be careful of repeats. Before you write your post titles, keep a list of keywords that are relevant to your site on hand which you can choose from. In order to draw the visitor’s attention your title needs not only relevant keywords but catchy phrasing. The first item that a visitor will observe preceding arriving on your website will be your title, which the search engine placements feature. Keep your titles easy to read and not too long. You can’t be vague with your titles, be very clear so that you achieve your objective easily.

Many people do not categorize their blogs, but adding categories always helps in making your blog more approachable. It is not only search engines that need to find your content easily; you want your visitors to also find their way around without any hassle. That’s one of the main reasons you should have your posts in the right order. When you create categories, no matter how much information you have published, it gets in place. Not only is your category listed within the post, it is also listed in its URL if the permalinks feature is turned on. Since most times your visitors wont be staying long, its probably wise to give them a feel for your post in the URL.

When making a new entry on your blog, you should also try to include a related post. This will make it easy for your readers to move from one post to the next. You can do this easily by using a simple plugin that has all your related posts under your posts, via tags. You can check the number of related posts that you want to show, giving search engines a better route to your archived content.

So, needless to say, use the tips in this article if you’re aiming at the search engines and your readers.

To see the full benefits of what Wordpress has to offer, you will want to take a look at certain premium Wordpress Themes.  Thesis Theme is one of my favorites, as it’s completely customizable. Give them a test, and I think you will like the results.

Google Now Accepts Hidden Text, At Least on Their Own Homepage!

Did you see the latest Google.com page design? Back in October Tech Crunch reported about Google testing something new on Google.com. The normal Google homepage with links to images, news and videos have now been replaced by a new spartan design where only the Google logo and the search box is visible.

Wait!

As soon as you touch the mouse the page starts to change and the old Google homepage with links and legal text fades in to replace the first spartan one.

And the million dollar question is…

Is Google using hidden text on their own homepage? Are they going to ban themselves for this? Have mighty Google changed it’s mind?

The simple answer:

Yes Google is using hidden text on the Google.com homepage. I don’t think they will ever ban themselves (you didn’t think that)?. I wouldn’t say they changed policy. Some types of hidden text was allowed by Google already on 2007 but I never read a clear statement from big G about when it’s allowed, just vague hints.

Personally I think the new Google.com design is annoying, I don’t want a site to change when I move the mouse.

I think it’s a bad move by Google with the fading page trick considering the many legit sites they banned in the past even for minor trespassing, and even if unintentional.

There might be some fun if they eventually get caught by their own spam filters, which may actually happen considering how mindlessly automated the Google machine is. Think about that for a moment.

Now I for one wouldn’t dare change my own homepages to do the same trick. I wouldn’t like going through the process of begging lord Google for a reinclusion due to their own mistake.

In this case, better safe than sorry.

My advice, as CEO of Secret Search Engine Labs, is that you forget about hidden text, and if you really need to use it consult with a white hat SEO expert in advance, they do tend to know what you can do and not

Real-Time in Computer World

First to speak tells us a generic introduction into how real-time has become vital, how it can lead the way with breaking news such as the death of Michael Jackson and how Bing and Google argued over deals with Twitter.in all honesty, it’s nothing you haven’t heard before.

Second up was Rob Walk from a company called NovaRising. He showcases a platform they’ve develop which scans and parses tweets about music to break them down into thematic groups on genre, artist and sentiment. He feels that this could be something that the Search Engines are missing out on.That is a fair point, especially when Google launched real-time and there was so much spam that wasn’t being filtered, but probably the key thing is a ranking alogirithm for all results to filter out spam.Lately though this is something that Google have definately improved on.  and I think the likes of sentiment analysis is in pretty early stages in terms of sophistication, but it may one day be incorporated by search engines. Currently though i don’t think that’s their role.

Next up is Bill Scott from easelTV, talking about the integration of social network updates to TV screens, how TV watchers are profiled and how to “SEO TV” (something about metadata!).  Sorry to sound cranky and I will look at this again after the conference, but I really don’t see how this is (a) anything to do with realtime search, and (b) remotely interesting or forward thinking. I can’t think of anything worse than tweets or facebook updates appearing on my telly as I watch a programme. Let alone realtime ads (*shudder*).

Next on the agenda is William Fischer who is from Workdigital and he informs us all about a product they have developed aimed soley at the recruitment industry to semantically analyse realtime updates from the likes of twitter and Linkedin. It’s a sales pitch. I’m not at all interested in this. If i wanted to be sold something I would have attended a free conference such as TFMA or perhaps Internet World. Yawn.

First Impressions Count – Even To A Search Engine

You can’t just submit your website to a search engine just because you have purchased or registered a domain name. There is more to it than that. You have to be prepared with what you will be presenting the public.

It’s best for you to keep your site to yourself until it is ready to face the world. You only submit your site to search engines when it can already serve the public. It is such a waste of time and effort when a visitor goes to your site and reads your “under construction” or “coming soon message.

Why did I come to your site? I want to either find out something interesting, look at something, download something or buy something – not to be told to come back later when you are ready – to tell the truth, I don’t think I would bother coming back. Even when you tell me to come back because I’ll remember and think “been there before, it was a waste of time, full of coming soon stuff”.

If you have a blog – don’t leave the messages saying ‘Just testing’ or ‘congratulations and welcome to my new blog’. Don’t even think about writing ‘Welcome to my blog, over the next coming few days I will be…’ Just remember, the internet has no concept of time, but humans do. If I come to your site and find a ‘Welcome to my blog…’ post with lots of promises, but you don’t deliver, why should I trust you with my time? My money? My business? The truth of the matter is, I won’t.

I’m not going to go through a whole list of things that tend to put visitors off staying on a site – but here are a few of them:

Broken Links: Check the links if it is really accessible online.
Awful color schemes: The bright yellow and striking red is just hurtful to the eyes. Try pastel colors instead.
Tiny fonts – Always see to it that your fonts are readable.
Difficult Navigation – Don’t give your visitors a hard time. A simple and clear navigation is highly appreciated.

These reminders would be definitely of help to you.
